Help with Affelion Bible
Affelion Bible is an English-language app. This page covers the App Store version for iPhone and iPad and the planned Google Play version for Android. The Bible, prayer, journal, bookmarks and study 1 are free. Studies 2–7 are available through one course purchase at a US base price of $4.99. The App Store or Google Play displays your local price before purchase.
Keep a copy of your writing
Open Settings → Export a private backup. Keep every exported file together somewhere private; they contain readable writing. Large journals use numbered parts. Before changing devices or uninstalling the app, check that you have a usable backup.
Restore a journal backup
Open Settings → Import an Affelion Bible backup and select all the numbered JSON parts from that backup together (or one older JSON backup up to 20 MB). Missing or mixed parts are rejected without changing your journal. Contact hello@affelion.com if an older backup is larger than this limit; do not send private prayer text by email. Valid entries are added; entries with the same identifier are kept rather than overwritten. The app does not provide automatic cloud sync.
Purchase privacy
The app sends purchase-service data only after you open purchase options, start a purchase, or restore. Once started, the purchase service can continue requests during that app session. Starting a purchase or confirming a restore enables access checks on later launches; cancellation keeps the purchase-activity flag. Erase clears that flag; fully close and reopen the app to end an already-started session. Your journal, prayer and reflection text is never sent to the purchase service. See the privacy policy for the complete data list and purposes.
Purchase support reference
Open Settings → Study library → Purchase support reference → Copy purchase reference. Paste it into an email to hello@affelion.com if you need purchase help. If automatic copying fails, select and copy the read-only reference. It contains no personal writing. If it says “Available after you open purchases”, open View library access or tap Restore purchases; Settings alone does not start billing. If it is still unavailable, tell us the error, device model, store used and app version.
Restore course access
For an App Store purchase, use the same Apple Account that bought the course. For a Google Play purchase, install from Google Play using the same Google Account that bought it; check the selected account in the Play Store if you use more than one. Open Affelion Bible → Settings → Restore purchases, or use Restore purchases on the purchase screen. Never buy the course again merely because a restore attempt failed; check your connection, store account and purchase history first. If it still fails, contact hello@affelion.com with the purchase support reference. Course access does not automatically transfer between Apple and Google Play. Restore purchases restores course access, not your journal. Import your private backup to restore writing.
Request a refund
For an App Store purchase, follow Apple’s refund instructions. Apple decides eligibility under its process and applicable law. For a Google Play purchase, use Google’s refund request process and read Google’s in-app purchase refund policy. Google may refer you to the developer, including for requests more than 48 hours after purchase. Email hello@affelion.com if you need help with such a request. We will review it under the applicable store policy and consumer law. A refund can remove course access; it does not delete your local writing.
Read aloud
Scripture is read aloud with your device’s voice. If a voice is unavailable, check the device’s speech settings or continue reading on screen. Personal journal entries are never sent to the speech service.
Delete local writing
Delete an individual entry from its page, or use Settings → Erase app data from this device. Erase also cleans app-owned temporary export files and reports a cleanup failure honestly. It does not delete backups you saved elsewhere or remote purchase records.
Contact support
Email hello@affelion.com for support or privacy requests. Include your app version, device model and a description of the issue. Include the purchase reference and store used for billing help. For a Google Play refund investigation, we may also ask for the relevant Google Play order ID from your purchase history or receipt, without a full receipt screenshot or payment details. Never send journal, prayer or reflection text, a journal backup, full card details, a store password or a one-time code. Ask us to review a billing-data deletion request at the same email address; we verify the request before removing eligible records. Apple and Google retain their own store records, and reopening or restoring can create a RevenueCat profile again. Deleting billing data does not refund a purchase.
